With The Fortune Trees, Zhang Hong Mei transports visitors to a dimension suspended between archaic symbolism and urban modernity. The artist reinterprets elements of Eastern tradition, such as Tibetan prayer flags, intertwining them with abstract signs and contemporary materials. The result is a visual landscape that vibrates between stillness and movement, spirituality and city life. The exhibited installations and paintings explore the deep connection between humanity and nature, memory and transformation, through a personal language that alternates between painterly gesture, sculpture, and fabric. The exhibition culminates in a unique performative event: a synesthetic evening blending visual art and sound, featuring electric violinist Caterina Caramella, for an immersive experience celebrating the meeting of tradition, energy, and innovation.
